ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS - Home Health Aide and Patient Care Technician Programs
Applicants must meet the following general requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age at the time of graduation.
Have a signed permission from a parent or guardian if less than 18 years old at the time of admission.
Have a personal interview with the admissions representative or a school official.
Submit a signed enrollment agreement and make payment arrangements for the required tuition/fees.
Have a valid high school diploma, GED, or equivalent,
Obtain or sign a declination for the hepatitis B vaccine prior to admission.
SCREENINGS
All applicants are required to clear the following:
Physical examination
Obtain or sign a declination for the Hepatitis B Vaccine
Drug test
Background check
ACCEPTANCE INTO THE PROGRAM
A complete physical health form must be submitted to the school director, Final acceptance to the
program will be contingent upon the results of the medical form.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS - Practical Nursing & Professional Nursing Program
The Practical Nursing Program and Professional Nurse Program requirements are as follows:
Be at least 18 years of age (must present valid ID with date of birth)
Have a personal interview with the admissions representative or a school official and obtain
approval. The use of the Interview form is detailed to assess different areas of the pre-qualified
student, focusing on being an LPN or RN in the future.
Submit a signed enrollment agreement and make payment arrangements or the
required tuition/fees or full payment for the program. Non-refundable fees: Application
and registration fees. Registration fees are NOT included in the total program cost.
Students are required to pay at least the full down payment and half of the total tuition
before the start of the scheduled external clinical experience.
Have a valid high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Obtain or sign a declination for the Hepatitis B vaccine prior to their admission; negative
PPD result or chest x-ray.
Physical examination completed and signed by a physician.
FDLE criminal background check. Background check must not include a criminal History greater
than a Misdemeanor.
Submit a drug test result.
Submit to the school an official copy of the social security card.
Applicant has to be an American citizen or legal alien with student visa or equivalent
CI20).
Hold a current BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider Certification from the
American Heart Association or obtain certification within 2 months from enrollment.
Brilliant Academy Health Center reserves the right to reject an applicant based on not meeting the
entrance requirements. Minimum General Education Component for Associate Science in Nursing
Degree 15 credits required to be transferred in, but Institution does not offer general education courses.
